They bring a magnetic presence behind the decks and in the recording studio as they traverse a musical odyssey that involves composition, production and the exploration between genres like House, Hip Hop, Jazz/AfroCuban Jazz, Afrohouse, Baile Funk, Vogue/Ballroom, Techno/Club, Amapiano, Dancehall, R&B, AfroBeats, and beyond. Eli Chi aka Chico Chi (he/they) is a queer and non-binary transmasculine DJ + producer who currently splits his time between the Twin Cities, MN and California. Between his Chinese-Cuban roots and growing up and living in cities all over the US, Chi’s music selections transcend time and space. Their curation is one that can’t be pigeon holed. When experiencing one of their sets, expect to be taken on a journey through nostalgia and beyond, hearing a mix of genres and sounds, as well as original remixes and mash ups that’ll leave you pleasantly surprised.
